Job summary

Murata in Singapore seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to drive process improvements, cost reduction, and quality enhancements in electronic manufacturing. You will train local engineers and coordinate with Japan HQ to align policies and drive PDCA across plants.

The role requires 5+ years in machine fabrication or related engineering, with fluent Japanese and business-level English, and strong leadership and communication skills to liaise with overseas affiliates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/ Manufacturing Engineering.
• At least 5 years in machine fabrication, design, or related engineering in electronics manufacturing.
• Business-level Japanese and English for coordination with Japan HQ and overseas affiliates.

Responsibilities

• Align policies and strategies with Japan HQ; coordinate joint projects to support divisional goals.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Japan HQ to address operational challenges and share updates.
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality through process optimization.
• Lead cost reduction efforts for manufacturing and efficiency improvements.
• Transfer and integrate new technologies from Japan factories to local operations.
