Job summary

Citi’s Lending Applications Technology and Release Management Lead is a senior role overseeing release governance, delivery, and production readiness across the Lending technology landscape. This position partners with Development, QA, Infrastructure, Operations, and Business stakeholders to manage releases and ensure controlled change implementation that supports business objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience in application development with release management.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Lending business knowledge is preferable.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and software programming.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for deployments, monitoring, data processing, and reporting.
• Analyze and debug the Java codebase and deploy emergency fixes to restore service stability.
• Investigate application logs and performance metrics to identify root causes of defects and bottlenecks.
• Act as final escalation point for complex production incidents in Java-based applications and microservices.
• Collaborate with core development (L4) teams to implement permanent solutions in future releases.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and design/implement new features with architects.
• Work with QA, infrastructure, and operations to ensure smooth deployment and operation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
