Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a capable lawyer to provide essential legal support across daily operations and complex projects in Singapore. You will research, draft, proofread, and execute contracts, and train sales teams on key agreements to mitigate risk.

The role includes coordinating with external firms on disputes and regulatory matters, and leading whistleblowing and compliance initiatives to ensure robust governance across the business. Travel to ASEAN/India may be required.

Qualifications

• A law degree and 4+ years of legal experience in law firms or in-house teams.
• Ability to provide advice on information security matters.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel within ASEAN and India.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support for daily operations and projects, including research, drafting, proofreading, and contract execution.
• Conduct trainings for sales teams on Purchase Agreements, NDAs, and other contracts.
• Manage external firms for disputes, litigation and regulatory matters.
• Oversee compliance training on anti-corruption, anti-fraud, anti-cartel, conflicts of interest, and whistleblowing.
• Oversee whistleblowing system and investigations related to misconduct.
• Review and update internal compliance-related rules and regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and distribute updates to affiliates.
• Assist with external audits concerning legal compliance.
• Improve efficiency of contract reviews and train junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal support for daily operations and assigned projects, including legal research, drafting, proofreading, and contract execution.
• Conduct training sessions for sales teams on Purchase Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other relevant contracts to enhance their understanding of potential legal risks.
• Proactively manage legal issues with external firms, including disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters impacting business operations.
• Facilitate compliance training on anti-corruption, anti-fraud, anti-cartel issues, conflicts of interest, and whistleblowing, while reviewing and updating training materials as necessary.
• Oversee the whistleblowing system, acting as the primary contact and supporting investigations related to reports of misconduct.
• Review and update internal compliance-related rules and regulations.
• Monitor and analyze changes in legal frameworks and regulations, distributing key updates to affiliates.
• Assist with external audits concerning legal compliance.
• Enhance the efficiency of contract review processes and offer guidance and training to junior legal staff as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of legal experience in law firms or in-house legal departments.
• Proven experience in providing advice on information security matters.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a challenging environment.
• Willingness to travel within the ASEAN and India regions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactively contributes as a team player with a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with legal nuances affecting both traditional and emerging business sectors is advantageous.
