Job summary

A reputable law firm in Downtown Singapore seeks a Legal Secretary to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening and closing legal files, filing documents with courts, and assisting in drafting legal documents. Applicants must have strong English skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and at least one year of relevant experience, especially in e-Litigation and probate work. The role calls for a resourceful team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing of legal files
  • File documents with courts and government agencies (electronically and in-person, as needed)
  • Assist in drafting of legal documents
  • Monitoring Court deadlines and schedules
  • Attending to routine client enquiries and communications
  • Assist with billing and keeping proper record of client files
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resourceful, able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Chinese speaking preferred
  • Applicants must have at least one year of relevant experience and must be familiar with e-Litigation filing and grant of probate work.
