Job summary

Xianlu Consulting is seeking a compliance-focused legal professional to collaborate with business teams on cross-border regulatory research and the design of compliant expansion strategies. The role involves supporting governance, regulatory communications, and compliance solutions for overseas operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Law degree, strong interest in technology, and the ability to assess risks across multiple jurisdictions; Mandarin fluency plus professional English are

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to conduct cross-border legal compliance research and assist in designing compliance solutions for market expansion.
• Support daily operations, compliance management, corporate governance and regulatory communications for overseas markets.
• Assist in handling emergencies, including local employment matters, customer disputes and public opinion risks; conduct legal assessment and propose solutions.
• Continuously monitor regulatory updates across different countries and manage external legal counsel; learn laws of multiple jurisdictions.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Partner with business teams to conduct cross-border legal compliance research and assist in designing compliance solutions for market expansion and business rollout in target jurisdictions, providing legal support for business decisions.

2. Support daily operations, compliance management, corporate governance and regulatory communications for the platform in overseas markets.

3. Assist in handling emergencies, including local employment matters, customer disputes and public opinion risks; conduct legal assessment, propose solutions, and optimize business processes via case reviews.

4. Continuously monitor regulatory updates across different countries, support management of external legal counsel, and proactively learn laws and regulations of multiple jurisdictions.

5. Draft and review commercial agreements, platform terms and other legal documents.

6. Develop compliance guidelines, deliver compliance training and risk awareness sessions for business teams.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Law from reputable universities. Candidates without experience or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience (internet platform, law firm or MNC legal) are welcome to apply.

2. Keen interest in technology and commercial business; strong learning aptitude, willing to study, identify and assess cross-jurisdictional legal & compliance risks.

3. Fluent in Mandarin, proficient English for working purposes, with good cross-cultural communication skills.

4. Self-motivated, responsible, good team player and able to work under pressure.
