Publicly listed technology company in Singapore is building its global hub and seeks a Legal & Compliance Executive to join the founding local team. Ground-floor role with independence in a fast-moving, cross-border environment.

The role covers regulatory research, compliance management, governance, external counsel coordination, contract review, and training to strengthen organisational compliance culture. Fresh graduates with a law degree will be considered; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in an internet platform, law firm, or multinational corporate legal team.
• Self-driven, proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Market Expansion & Regulatory Support: conduct legal research for entry and operations in target markets and provide input to business decisions.
• Incident Management & Risk Mitigation: assist with escalations, local employee relations issues, customer disputes, and crisis communications; conduct post-incident reviews.
• Regulatory Monitoring & External Counsel Management: track evolving laws in target markets and manage relationships with external counsel and local partners.
• Contract & Documentation: draft, review, and manage commercial agreements and platform rules.
• Compliance Training & Culture: develop guidelines and deliver training to business teams to raise compliance awareness.

We are supporting a publicly listed technology company in building out its Singapore global hub, and are looking for a Legal & Compliance Executive to join their founding local team.

This is a ground-floor role suited to someone who is comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, cross-border environment and wants to grow alongside a platform business at an inflection point.

Job Responsibilities

Market Expansion & Regulatory Support

• Conduct legal and compliance research for the company's entry and operations in target markets; provide professional legal input to support business strategy and decision-making.
• Support daily operations across compliance management, corporate governance, and regulatory communications in target countries.

Incident Management & Risk Mitigation

• Assist in handling escalations and reverse events, including local employee relations issues, complex customer disputes, and crisis communications.
• Provide legal assessments and proposed solutions; conduct post-incident reviews to continuously improve operational processes.

Regulatory Monitoring & External Counsel Management

• Track and research evolving laws, regulations, and regulatory policy in target markets.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and local legal partners.

Contract & Documentation

• Draft, review, and manage commercial agreements, platform rules, and other legal documents.

Compliance Training & Culture

• Develop compliance guidelines and deliver training to business teams; build overall compliance awareness across the organisation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Law from a reputable university; 1 year or more of relevant experience in an internet platform, law firm, or multinational corporate legal team. Fresh graduates with a law degree will be considered.
• Interest in technology and business; experience managing legal and compliance risks across multi-jurisdiction projects is a plus.
• Self-driven and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work well under pressure.
