Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations PTE. LTD. locates in Singapore and seeks a PhD/Master/Bachelor level engineer to develop and optimize wet etch processes for next‑generation NAND devices.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, evaluate process innovations, and translate device needs into robust manufacturing requirements. You will drive experiments, monitor margins, and help implement new nodes with advanced process control.

Qualifications

• PhD/Masters/Bachelor degree or higher in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical/Microelectronic Engineering.
• Deep understanding of chemistry, kinetics, thermodynamics, mass transport, physical phenomena.
• Deep understanding of films and interface engineering and analysis techniques (SIMS, XPS, EDX, SEM/TEM).
• Understanding of integration and structural impacts for wet etch processes.
• Experience with memory processing, NAND memory concepts.
• Working knowledge of DoE and data analysis.
• Proven ability to collaborate with local and overseas teams.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Willingness to work extended hours if required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize unit processes to meet yield and quality requirements for advanced NAND products.
• Quantify benefits of process/equipment solutions to enable early experimentation and margin improvement.
• Prioritize Singapore Wet Etch activities on key tech issues needing RD breakthroughs.
• Integrate and troubleshoot processes within cross-functional teams for yield/quality improvements.
• Engage with Advanced Node teams on technology choices and translate needs into process requirements.
• Identify disruptive processes early and coordinate with manufacturing on viable paths.
• Conduct fundamental research, hardware evaluations, and testing for novel applications and IP.
• Lead experiments to widen process margins and test manufacturability of next nodes.
• Identify process simplification opportunities and drive cross-functional implementation.
• Incorporate best manufacturing practices early in upcoming nodes and design monitoring/control methods.
• Serve as technical expert on process improvements, procedures, and equipment.
• Lead complex multi-disciplinary projects in quality, process, yield, cost, and productivity meetings.
• Provide guidance on significant technical issues and pursue patents/publications.
• Collaborate globally with partners; adhere to IP policy.
• Engage in worldwide R&D with suppliers and integrate AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
