Job summary

ST ANDREW'S MISSION HOSPITAL is seeking a dedicated chef to manage kitchen operations for residents and staff in our Nursing Home. You will supervise cooking, planning meals, and ensure timely delivery according to breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedules.

Requirements include a Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field, 4+ years in kitchen/food and beverage, and strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene. Experience in healthcare settings and knowledge of multiple cuisines are a plus; good

Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field.
4+ years in kitchen/restaurant or F&B business.
Experience in nursing home/healthcare setting is an advantage.
Strong understanding of food preparation standards and certification requirements.
Excellent cooking and food presentation skills; attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Experience with diverse cuisines (Chinese, Malay, Western) is a plus.
MS Office skills and strong interpersonal/communication/organizational skills.
Good command of English (verbal and written).
Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for kitchen operations including scheduling, planning and cooking.
Ensure food is properly prepared for residents, clients and staff.
Deliver meals on time according to breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner schedules.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and food safety compliance.
Regularly check equipment, inventory and workspace safety.
Monitor food costs and manage the kitchen budget.
Supervise and train new kitchen staff.
Assist with other tasks assigned by the Manager/Management.
