Job summary

The Lentor Residence Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced cook for its nursing home operations in Kaki Bukit, with deployments to Macpherson or Hougang for training. The role focuses on preparing meals per approved menus and dietary requirements to ensure timely service for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include supporting the Head Chef, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing daily kitchen activities, supervising staff, and maintaining documentation and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in institutional catering of large-scale food service.
• Healthcare experience is an advantage.
• Possess a Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef in maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with operations, dietitians, speech therapists and nursing leaders to meet nutritional requirements.
• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including meal preparation, cooking and plating.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure meals meet SOPs and dietary needs.
• Assist continuous improvement to improve quality and efficiency.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training and coaching sessions; review performance.
• Order food supplies and manage inventory; control food costs and wastage.
• Document hot holding, chiller and freezer temps and cleaning records.
• Oversee kitchen upkeep, pest control and equipment servicing.
• Plan staff rosters and standby for staff replacement.
