The Lentor Residence Pte Ltd in Hougang, Singapore, is seeking a skilled Chef to lead the kitchen at Lentor Health Nursing Home. You will ensure safe, halal meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs and IDDSI standards.

We are looking for Chefs who are responsible and is accountable for kitchen daily operations in nursing home and ensures the consistent delivery of safeand quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs whilecomplying withall regulatory and halal requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Work closely with the operations team, dietitians, speech therapists, and nursing leaders to ensure meals are prepared in accordance with nutritional requirements and IDDSI standards
Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including meal preparation, cooking, and plating
Supervise and lead kitchen staff to ensure all meals are prepared and presented in accordance with standard recipes, special dietary requirements, and SOPs
Support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality and operational efficiency
Conduct regular on-the-job training and coaching sessions, and perform staff performance reviews
Order food supplies and manage inventory
Manage food costs and minimise food wastage
Ensure proper documentation of hot holding, chiller, and freezer temperatures, as well as regular cleaning records
Oversee the general upkeep of the kitchen, including pest control, kitchen utensils, and equipment servicing and repairs
Plan kitchen staff rosters and provide coverage for staff replacements during exigencies
Perform any other duties as assigned to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications, Education and Skills
Minimum Certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene
At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in institutional catering or large-scale food service; healthcare experience is an advantage
Certified as Food Safety and Hygiene Officer (FHO) and/or experience supervising kitchen staff or leading a shift is preferred
