Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Trading Technology team. You will contribute technically across multiple domains, focusing on secure, scalable, and trusted market-leading technology products.

You will lead design and implementation of microservices in Java, collaborate with stakeholders, and help advance API design, testing, and documentation to support robust trading platforms on AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed architecture systems and real-time data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, and test-driven agile delivery.
• Exposure to caching (Redis/Gemfire/ Ignite) and messaging (Kafka/IBM MQ).
• Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy applications meeting business and functional requirements.
• Design and implement microservices using Java with streaming, non-blocking, and reactive techniques.
• Utilize Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, MSK, and AWS to build scalable services.
• Support domain-driven design and contribute to architectural discussions.
• Produce technical docs (APIs via Swagger) and implement logging, security, and monitoring.
