Job summary

Beyondsoft Singapore is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to lead development of software for advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments. You will shape architecture, drive quality, and work within Agile teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with local and remote engineers, implement REST-based services, and contribute to full software lifecycle, from design to testing, ensuring maintainability and high product quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET with solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Extensive experience building asynchronous .NET applications in production.
• Experience designing REST-based services and APIs.
• Experience with Angular or React for front-end development.
• Experience writing well-structured unit tests.
• Ability to deliver clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership within Agile scrum teams to design and deliver software that controls advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments.
• Lead software architecture, design, and implementation to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with product and business objectives.
• Actively participate in the full Agile development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and technical issues in a timely and structured manner.
• Drive software design and code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, testability, maintainability, and product quality expectations.
• Coordinate effectively with local and remote team members to promote clear communication, technical alignment, knowledge sharing, and timely execution across distributed development activities.
