Job summary

NCS Group is seeking a lead security engineer in Singapore to manage a small team and oversee day-to-day security operations. You will deploy and support managed security solutions, act as a technical escalation point, and ensure adherence to standards and SLAs while mentoring junior staff.

You will review plans and configurations, support migrations and technology refreshes, and drive problem resolution and preventive improvements across projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in network or cyber security engineering.
• Experience supporting enterprise security technologies.
• Experience in a Managed Security Services (MSS) or managed services environment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical activities for a small team of security engineers.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot managed security solutions.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents.
• Review implementation plans, configuration changes, and technical documentation.
• Support project implementations, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh activities.
• Ensure operational activities comply with established standards, processes, and SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during daily operations.
• Coordinate engineering activities with Service Delivery, SOC, Project Managers, and vendors.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident response when required.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and automation opportunities.
