Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd is seeking a Principal/Assistant Principal Engineer in Robotics Mechatronics. You will lead the design and development of robotics and unmanned systems, manage a team, and drive prototype concepts through to testing and qualification.

You will coordinate with design teams, vendors, and customers to translate requirements into robust products, with hands-on contribution as needed in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years hardware development and team management in robotics or similar.
• Experience in hardware design and integration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of robotics and unmanned systems.
• Manage team to conceptualise, build and test prototypes.
• Perform system integration, assembly, testing and qualifications.
• Define software controls for robotics and payloads across applications.
• Generate technical documents and drawings; work with vendors and partners.
• Engage with customers to translate needs into product requirements.
