Job summary

HL Bank Singapore is seeking an experienced risk professional to define and strengthen the PB risk framework, policies, and adherence to risk standards across the enterprise.

You will act as 2LoD contact for the Private Banking business, oversee risk appetite monitoring, incident investigations, product risk reviews, and risk reporting to senior committees, while coordinating with stakeholders to enhance risk management maturity.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the PB risk structure, policies and adherence to risk standards.
• Assess enterprise-wide risk management requirements within the PB business and support policy adherence.
• Coordinate risk management methodologies and plans across PB businesses for consistency and efficiency.
• Monitor PB risk appetite thresholds and coordinate with business units for compliance.
• Perform independent daily review of sales processes, suitability and advisory activity.
• Review exception reports and RM communications to ensure adherence to risk frameworks.
• Manage and investigate operational incidents and conduct risk, driving root cause analyses and control enhancements.
• Identify, assess and monitor emerging operational and conduct risks with timely escalation.
• Conduct focused risk assessments on high-risk processes including client onboarding and wealth transfers.
• Review new or altered products and services to identify and mitigate associated risks before launch.
• Act as the primary 2LoD contact for the PB business, offering guidance on risk limits and non-standard activities.
• Analyze risk data and prepare concise dashboards for senior management and risk committees.
• Track PB risk exposure and coordinate with units to ensure proactive risk management and adherence to limits.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections with required documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and risk teams to foster a culture of continuous learning and quality.
• Demonstrate HL Bank Singapore values in daily work.
