Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd invites a capable Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost and contract matters across mixed development projects, from pre- to post-contract. You will prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender evaluations, while negotiating variations and managing claims with consultants and suppliers.

You will monitor budgets, produce financial forecasts, and support procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with contract conditions, local practices, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years (for Assistant QS) or 10+ years (for Manager) of relevant experience, preferably with a main contractor and in mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, SIA/PSSCOC forms, and local construction practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, CostX or other QS software tools.
• Able to work independently and under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all cost and contract matters from pre- to post-contract stages for the assigned mixed development project.
• Prepare tender documentation including bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender evaluations.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts, variations, and claims with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets, perform cost control, and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure contractual obligations and project targets are met.
• Administer progress claims, interim payments, and final accounts.
• Assist in procurement strategy, including sourcing, tendering, and appointment of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
• Provide commercial input during project meetings and assist in value engineering efforts.
