Job summary

The role requires a degree in QS or building, 5+ years in a managerial construction role, and proficiency in CostX/Glodon with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building with at least 5 years’ managerial experience in construction.
• Familiar with Singapore standard forms of contract (SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS).
• Proficient in MS Office and QS software (CostX, Glodon or similar).
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors in post-contract and procurement administration for fast-track projects.
• Manage budgeting, cash flow and cost, process claims, contract payments and final accounts.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor/supplier quotations; award contracts per budget.
• Administer progress claims, variations, EOT, and loss and expense claims.
• Prepare monthly cost and progress reports for financial tracking and forecasting.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues and ensure contract compliance.
• Assist in contract reviews, procurement strategies and risk management.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractor payments and final accounts.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with main contract terms, SIA, PSSCOC and local standards.
• Participate in site meetings, audits and project handovers; maintain proper documentation.
