Job summary

YSG Builders Solution Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost planning, budgeting, and measurement for major projects.

You will work with site teams and clients to prepare quantity requirements and evaluate changes efficiently. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil & Structural, at least five years in construction, and strong analytical, negotiation, and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil & Structural.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.

Responsibilities

• Budget tracking on quantities for main materials (e.g., rebars, tiles).
• Measurement, payment response, and evaluation of VO for the subcontractor.
• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
