Job summary

Hanwha Ocean EPU in Singapore is seeking an experienced FPSO Lead Planner to oversee scheduling across the full project lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure integrated timelines.

You will drive critical path analysis, manage schedule governance, and deliver accurate progress reporting to stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations on multi-disciplinary offshore projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–12 years of project planning, scheduling, and project controls experience within the oil & gas, offshore, marine, shipbuilding, or energy sectors.
• Demonstrated experience on FPSO, offshore production facilities, floating facilities, offshore platforms, or major brownfield and greenfield developments.
• Proven experience developing and managing integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, integration, offshore installation, hook-up, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Strong understanding of FPSO interfaces involving topsides, hull, marine systems, subsea systems, vendor packages, and commissioning activities

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and baseline plans
• Analyze critical path, schedule risks, and recovery plans
• Coordinate with discipline leads, vendors, and subcontractors on schedule integration

• Support bid proposals and project planning development
• Manage change impacts, delay analysis, and schedule adjustments
• Ensure compliance with planning procedures, standards, and contractual requirements
• Provide schedule performance insights to Project Manager and project team
• Support continuous improvement and lessons learned activities

Position Overview

The FPSO Lead Planner is responsible for leading all planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and schedule control activities across the full lifecycle of FPSO projects, ensuring alignment with project execution strategies, contractual milestones, and business objectives.

The role develops, maintains, and governs integrated Level 1 to Level 4 schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, integration, transportation, offshore installation, hook-up, commissioning, and start-up activities. The position ensures that all project schedules are fully integrated across topsides, hull, marine, subsea, vendor, and commissioning scopes to provide a single source of schedule performance and forecast delivery outcomes.

The FPSO Lead Planner works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, Cost Control, and key contractors to identify schedule risks, assess impacts, develop mitigation and recovery plans, and support informed decision‑making throughout project execution.

The role is accountable for schedule governance, progress measurement methodologies, critical path analysis, productivity assessments, earned value integration, resource planning, schedule forecasting, and reporting. The position provides leadership to project planning teams and ensures compliance with company planning standards, project controls procedures, and contractual obligations.

At this level, the FPSO Lead Planner serves as the focal point for all schedule‑related matters, influencing project strategy and execution decisions while maintaining visibility of key interfaces, risks, and opportunities. The role is expected to proactively challenge assumptions, drive schedule performance, and provide clear and accurate reporting to senior management and project stakeholders to ensure safe, predictable, and successful project delivery.
