Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a Senior Operation Engineer for a Global Energy MNC client to lead a team in a large-scale chilled water plant.

You will supervise maintenance, coordinate contractors, troubleshoot HVAC/ACMV systems, and push energy efficiency through CMMS-driven planning while ensuring safety and reliability. Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering and 5–10 years of O&M experience in large chilled water plants.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in O&M of large-scale chilled water plants.
• Hands-on experience with chilled water systems in commercial, industrial, or utility environments.
• Strong knowledge of AHU/FCU and chilled water distribution to airside systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and ACMV system faults independently.
• Excellent safety mindset and customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise technicians and manage contractors for maintenance activities.
• Operate and optimize large-scale chilled water plants and HVAC systems; troubleshoot and monitor performance.
• Plan and execute CMMS-based work orders for AHU/FCU and distribution systems.
• Develop work plans, select contractors, and schedule maintenance with cost considerations.
• Respond to faults, alarms, and root-cause analysis; ensure availability and energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for safe, effective maintenance.
• Prepare monthly operational reporting and documentation.
