Job summary

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for the Online Communications Office to shape online safety regulation in Singapore and enable safe use of online services.

You will monitor online safety trends, develop data-driven compliance tools, engage with industry, conduct content assessments, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

Background in humanities, social sciences, mass communications, computer science, or data science.
5–8 years in online safety or technology-related policy, product, programme management or operations.
Strong interest in online safety; knowledge of child safety and age assurance measures.
Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, writing and project management skills; strategic mindset.
Curious, proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Experience with statistics and data is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyse emerging online safety and misinformation trends; distil actionable policy insights and policy recommendations.
Develop and implement data-driven compliance assessment approaches across online services and domains (e.g., social media, app stores).
Engage directly with industry to operationalise and enhance compliance with online safety regulations.
Conduct content assessments on potentially harmful online content and take regulatory action as needed.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across IMDA and Government to share information and operationalise online safety regulations.
Project manage complex workstreams and ensure timely delivery of outcomes against deadlines.
