Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to design precision modules and lead end-to-end development from concept to detailed drawings. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform DFMEA, and collaborate with the system team to assemble and test prototypes.

The role requires hands-on cleanroom work, knowledge of machining and sheet metal fabrication, and experience with SolidWorks and Enovia PLM. Strong fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Min bachelors/ master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Precision mechanism design.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, encompassing design principles, materials selection, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis and error budgeting.
• Knowledge and experience in Application tool design.
• Knowledge on automatic tooling change-over module which include a tooling interface, change-over mechanism, and tool bank.
• Knowledge on material transfer platforms can be used for securing a metal carrier (metal boat).
• Knowledge of Pneumatic Circuitry design and integration within tools.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Able to Conduct analysis and simulations, fixture design, including structural, vibration/modal Finite Element Analyses (FEAs).
• Propose and complete the design from conceptual design, detailed design to detailed drawings.
• Hands-on work in the cleanroom building/assembling mechanical assemblies.
• Familiar with mechanical manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, etc.
• Proficient in 3D solid modeling and 2D drawing creation using CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience in PLM tools like Enovia is an added advantage.
