Job summary

CDA Communicable Diseases Agency is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to join the IAU. You will assist in planning, conducting and leading risk-based audits, ensuring robust internal controls and governance across the agency.

You will interact with Management and Audit Committees, manage outsourced audit work, and drive continuous improvement of audit programs in a fast-paced public sector environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or its equivalent background.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in audit in public, non-profit or private sector (internal audit preferred).
• CIA or CISA certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools would be an advantage.
• Self-driven, meticulous and able to work independently yet be a team player.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of IAU to develop risk-based audit plan and adjust plans as risks change.
• Plan, conduct and complete assigned internal audits to assess internal controls and governance.
• Lead and manage audit projects, including outsourced auditors.
• Prepare reports and present to Management and Audit Committees.
• Manage the secretariat function of the Audit Committee and other Board Committees.
• Perform ad-hoc investigations and reviews per Management/ Audit Committee requests.
• Participate in IAU initiatives and collaborate for process improvements.
• Strive for continuous improvement of audit work programs and team.
