Job summary

dormakaba International Holding AG is seeking a Senior Installer to lead the installation of dormakaba access solutions at project sites, including automatic and manual doors and access control components. You will read drawings, perform site measurements and guide installers to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

With at least 5 years of installation experience and strong machining knowledge, you will coordinate subcontractors, mentor juniors and ensure work complies with project

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant installation experience, preferably with automatic doors or architectural hardware.
• NITEC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, installation details and product manuals.
• Familiar with safe operation of hand tools, power tools and machining equipment.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or irregular hours when required by the project schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise the installation of automatic and manual doors, access solutions and related components.
• Read, interpret and follow approved drawings, specs and installation manuals.
• Carry out site measurements, setting-out and alignment checks.
• Apply machining knowledge for measuring, marking, cutting and fitting metal components.
• Lead and co-ordinate installers and subcontractors to meet safety and schedule.
• Identify and resolve installation constraints and interface issues before starting work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and clients regarding access and progress.
• Inspect installations for alignment, operation and quality compliance.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to junior staff.
• Maintain records of progress, materials used and site issues.
