Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Mechanics, or related field.
• At least five years of industrial thermal-mechanical FEA experience.
• Proficiency with ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL or equivalent FEA tool.
• Knowledge of advanced packaging architectures and processes.
• Understanding of polymers, metals, ceramics under thermal and mechanical loading.
• Ability to validate models and communicate recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-fidelity FEA models for advanced semiconductor packages.
• Lead thermo-mechanical reliability modeling for package performance.
• Analyze stress, warpage, delamination, creep across various architectures.
• Create multi-physics models to guide design and cooling concepts.
• Translate questions into simulation requirements and validation plans.
• Plan sensitivity analyses, DOE, optimization, and uncertainty assessments.
• Correlate models with metrology and reliability testing.
• Provide clear risk recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Own workflows and reviews; ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive automation and reuse.
• Support roadmaps and evaluate emerging materials and interconnects.
