Job summary

Doit is seeking a Lead Engineer to own complex products and systems, driving engineering excellence across the team. This hands-on role requires designing systems, coding and reviewing, solving tough problems, and guiding engineers from idea to production.

You will switch between architecture and implementation, making strong technical decisions while remaining close to code to execute when needed. Remote, global collaboration across time zones is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production systems experience.
• Deep expertise in backend, frontend, APIs, databases or cloud infra.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for high-scale systems.
• Hands-on coding and willingness to stay close to production code.
• Proven track record leading major engineering projects.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and execution of major products and initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable systems across backend, frontend, APIs and databases.
• Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, reviews, and production problem solving.
• Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability and reliability.
• Break problems into clear engineering plans and provide feedback on designs.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar.
