TECHKNOWLEDGEY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer - AI to join our growing engineering team; you’ll work on production‑grade software and AI‑enabled systems for enterprise customers.

You will own features end‑to‑end—from design and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement. You’ll code primarily in Python (FastAPI or similar), build backend services, APIs, databases and distributed components, and deploy across AWS.

Formación

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming ability in Python (preferred) and backend service development.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern web development (React/Node.js) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer - AI to join our growing engineering team working on complex, production-grade software and AI-enabled systems for enterprise customers.

You will own features and technical components end-to-end — from design and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.

This is a hands‑on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working in production environments, and taking ownership beyond simply writing code.

You will work closely with senior engineers, technical leads, architects, and delivery teams to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, deploy, and operate production‑grade services, APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
• Own technical components through the full development lifecycle — from design and implementation to testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimisation.
• Develop backend services primarily using Python, with frameworks such as FastAPI or similar technologies.
• Contribute to modern web applications and interfaces where required.
• Build and integrate APIs, databases, and distributed services.
• Deploy and manage applications across AWS cloud environments.
• Work with services such as compute, containers, serverless infrastructure, API management, identity/access management, and cloud monitoring.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Implement infrastructure automation, observability, logging, and monitoring.
• Define and execute unit, integration, regression, and other testing strategies.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, documentation, and engineering discussions.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with other engineers through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, and pair programming.
• Leverage modern AI‑assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, testing, debugging, documentation, and delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming ability in at least one modern programming language, with Python highly preferred.
• Experience building and operating backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and operating applications in AWS.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and services such as containers, serverless computing,
• API management, IAM, and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ownership of technical deliverables with limited supervision.
• Familiarity with modern web development technologies such as React or Node.js is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

You will stand out if you have:

• Experience shipping software in enterprise, high‑scale, or highly regulated environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML applications, LLMs, RAG, or agentic AI systems.
• Experience building systems that integrate with AI models or AI‑powered workflows.
• A strong interest in using AI‑assisted development tools in your day‑to‑day engineering work.
• Experience developing reusable internal frameworks, tooling, or engineering platforms.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
