Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited, headquartered in Singapore, is seeking a Principal Engineer, R&D (Electronics) to drive hardware architecture for life science instrumentation and medical devices. The role is based at the HQ in Ang Mo Kio.

You will lead embedded system design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory compliance with medical device standards. Overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Masters/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in embedded microprocessor system design, power management electronics and small signal analog design.
• Knowledge in PC architecture, High Speed IO Bus protocols (DDR, FSB, PCI-X), signal integrity techniques and high-speed hardware design.
• Experience in product development is a MUST HAVE.
• Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and principles.
• Experience in medical product compliance standards such as ISO13485 is an added advantage.
• Simulation tools & programming skills (e.g. PSpice, Python) are an added advantage.
• Overseas travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable hardware architectures using Venture embedded SOMs/SOCs to support compute-intensive processing.
• Design interfaces and telemetry for continuous environmental and fault monitoring of laboratory instrumentation.
• Ensure hardware sub-systems comply with IEC 60601-1 and EMC standards.
• Lead FMEA and Risk Management per ISO requirements.
• Collaborate with Optical, ME, Firmware and software teams to align edge hardware with software needs.
• Create and maintain ISO 13485 compliant design documentation and verification protocols.
• Lead board bring-up, testing and product-level verification; drive reliability testing.
