Job summary

Singapore Public Service seeks a Senior/Engineer for the Healthcare Engineering Center within the School of Engineering. Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in electronics development and a proven track record of leading and delivering industry or research projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in grant proposal writing and management of funded R&D projects is advantageous.
• Experience in healthcare engineering, medical devices, sensors, or applied technology development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electronic hardware and embedded systems for healthcare engineering applications, including analogue and digital circuit design, PCB design, firmware development, and system integration.
• Lead and deliver funded R&D, industry collaboration, and consultancy projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, milestone tracking, and project execution.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation: schematics, PCB layouts, design files, bills of materials, test plans, reports, and user documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders including industry, healthcare, clinical, research, and government partners to translate innovations into practical applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, technical officers, students, and project teams, promoting engineering excellence, quality standards, and safety.
