Job summary

Amphenol is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of connector solutions. You will focus on disciplined product engineering design and ensure manufacturability across teams.

You will translate customer requirements into drawings and specifications, perform analysis and DFMEA, validate designs to industry standards, and sometimes take project leadership to reconcile DFM with Process Design while driving cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of product design development experience.
• Experience in interconnects design industry preferred; senior roles require leadership in design.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE and engineering drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of new products and product improvements with disciplined focus in product engineering design.
• Design and develop quality product and ensure manufacturability with other engineering functions involved in product development.
• Translate customer requirements into product drawings and specifications; design analysis and verification, tolerance analysis, DFMEA.
• Lead projects and reconcile technical DFM with Process Design; drive cost reductions.
