Job summary

B&W Engineering in Singapore is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to drive site infrastructure for data centre projects, focusing on roads, drainage and utilities. You will lead civil design delivery and ensure integration with building and mission-critical systems.

You will supervise design teams, coordinate with electrical, mechanical, structural and BIM disciplines, and support authority submissions. A strong background in large-scale industrial or hyperscale developments is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
• Familiar with Singapore codes (PUB, LTA, BCA).
• IES membership preferred.
• Familiar with Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of civil and site works including roads, stormwater drainage, and underground utilities
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated site design
• Support authority submissions and approvals processes
• Provide technical input during construction, site inspections, and issue resolution
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
