Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Singapore is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will drive technical excellence, oversee HV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, and ensure uptime and resilience.

You will manage multi-project delivery, collaborate with mechanical, ICT, BIM teams, and mentor junior engineers while promoting energy efficiency and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards accreditation.
• Singapore Professional Engineer registration or progress towards beneficial.
• Proven experience delivering design for critical projects in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in project management and MEP engineering with data centres or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of MS Office and CAD/ calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems for data centre and critical infrastructure projects.
• Develop and review detailed designs for HV/LV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear and critical power systems.
• Ensure designs meet uptime and redundancy requirements (N+1, 2N).
• Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Manage electrical packages across multiple projects from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with mechanical, ICT, structural, BIM teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the electrical team.
