Job summary

Google Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end growth initiatives for Consumer Payments. You will design scalable backend services, APIs, and real-time decisioning pipelines, partnering across teams to push for reliability, low latency, and robust anti-abuse controls.

You will mentor engineers, lead architectural reviews, and apply AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery across global growth campaigns and rewards systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of software programming experience in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• 3 years in testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design and architecture.
• 3 years building scalable back-end distributed systems and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and deployment of scalable back-end services and APIs in Java/C++.
• Build high-performance, personalized messaging and notification systems.
• Design resilient financial settlement workflows with strong data integrity.
• Develop low-latency data pipelines and stateful engines for experimentation and rewards.
• Mentor engineers, drive design reviews, and promote AI-assisted development.
