Job summary

Google Singapore is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Consumer Payments Growth. You will own end-to-end engineering workstreams for global growth initiatives, including real-time decisioning pipelines and settlement systems.

You will mentor engineers across Singapore and Tokyo sites and help push AI-powered tooling to accelerate velocity. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll set technical direction, write scalable code, review architecture, and partner with data scientists to measure impact on user

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.
3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture.
3 years designing, building, and operating scalable back-end systems.
Experience leading end-to-end multi-quarter software projects.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design, implementation, and deployment of scalable back-end services and APIs.
Build high-performance communications infrastructure for in-app messages and lifecycle notifications.
Architect resilient financial settlement workflows with strong transactional guarantees.
Design low-latency feature stores and telemetry pipelines for A/B testing.
Drive multi-quarter project execution, mentor engineers, and promote AI-assisted development.
