Job summary

MKS Inc. in Singapore is seeking an exceptional Laser Production Technician to manufacture and test lasers, sub-assemblies and components to documented specifications.

You will perform fiber handling, splicing, routing and alignment of optical subsystems, and integrate assemblies into systems with precision instruments. Requires a Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of related experience; strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Minimum ITE or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Technical competence in optical, mechanical or electrical assembly.
• Ability to assemble mechanical, electrical and optical subsystems.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and manage multiple variables.
• Experience in troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test of lasers, laser sub-assemblies and laser components against documented specifications.
• Perform fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, operating laser diodes.
• Troubleshoot fiber based assemblies and laser diode issues.
• Perform fiber based assembly and optical alignment to specification.
• Incorporate optical, mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies into systems unit with test.
• Install and align optical, mechanical and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.
