Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking an exceptional Laser Production Technician in Singapore to manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies, and components to documented specs. You will handle optical fibers, perform splicing, routing, pig-tailing, and operate laser diodes with precision alignment and testing.

You will assemble optical, mechanical, and electrical subsystems into systems, align them with high-precision instruments, and troubleshoot issues across fiber-based assemblies and laser

Qualifications

• Experience with optical fiber handling and splicing.
• Ability to align optical components with high precision.
• Familiarity with laser diode operation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies and components against documented specifications.
• Perform fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, operating laser diodes.
• Troubleshoot fiber-based assemblies and laser diode issues.
• Perform fiber-based assembly and optical alignment to specification.
• Incorporate optical, mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies into systems unit with test.
• Install and align optical, mechanical and sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.
• Technical competence in optical, mechanical or electrical assembly.
• Ability to assemble mechanical, electrical and optical subsystems.
• Interpret and apply a wide range of technical instructions and diagrams.
