Job summary

Databricks seeks an APJ Field Engineering Leader – Lakebase to guide a high-performance team of pre-sales Solutions Architects. You will partner with sales to expand Lakebase adoption, align with product and marketing, and build executive-level relationships across strategic accounts in a dynamic APJ region.

You will translate complex business needs into technical, value-driven solutions while remaining deeply technical, shaping field readiness and product evolution.

Qualifications

• Leading a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects in a high-growth enterprise software context.
• Experience with transactional (OLTP) databases and data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and AI solutions.
• Ability to engage with senior executives and drive large-scale consumption.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional, revenue-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on Lakebase.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product to drive adoption and revenue growth.
• Develop strategic engagement plans with direct account teams across verticals.
• Translate customer needs into field-ready product improvements and value propositions.
• Travel up to 30% as required.
