Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Sciences or closely related field.
• Familiarity with fundamental lab techniques and protocols relevant to biomedical/physiological research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with faculty, staff and students.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and logistics.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, proactive approach to learning, adaptability, and problem-solving.
• Fluent English communication, written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Support course administration: timetable, venues, teaching materials, attendance tracking, assessment logistics, marks processing, and learning platform updates.
• Assist with practical classes, CET activities, and preparation of lab equipment and consumables.
• Support examination/invigilation logistics: venue setup, student verification, room monitoring, and script submission.
• Prepare/review risk assessments and SOPs for teaching, field trips, lab activities, equipment, and events.
• Assist departmental safety: audits, inspections, safety orientation, equipment checks, training, and compliance docs.
• Help manage shared equipment, consumables, fixed assets, maintenance requests, procurement, and onboarding.
• Provide hands-on training to staff, students, TAs, and lab users on equipment and safety.
• Support seminars, conferences, workshops, events, publicity, website/social media updates, and hybrid event tech.
• Assist with procurement and management of software licenses and renewals.
