Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Biological Sciences invites applications for an Executive / Senior Executive (Teaching Laboratory) to help plan, prepare, and run undergraduate laboratory sessions. The role includes coordinating with course teams, managing reagents, equipment, and safety, and supporting students during practical classes.

The successful candidate will maintain lab inventories, assist with procurement, and ensure compliance with safety and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Life Sciences or related discipline.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; candidates with teaching or research lab experience are advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of lab operations and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, preparation, and delivery of undergraduate laboratory practical sessions.
• Liaise with course coordinators on practical requirements, schedules, and safety matters.
• Prepare reagents, consumables, specimens, and equipment for practical sessions.
• Set up, calibrate, and relocate laboratory equipment for teaching activities.
• Brief Teaching Assistants on lab procedures, experimental protocols, and safety requirements.
• Provide safety and technical support to undergraduate students during laboratory practicals.
• Conduct trial runs of new and existing protocols; troubleshoot issues and ensure reproducibility.
