Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a Lab Operations Support role to assist in running school labs and supervising student projects. You will ensure safety compliance, manage lab equipment, and coordinate material planning for FYP activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification and has 2–3 years of hands-on lab experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and a 2-year contract is offered.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 2-3 years hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering - Materials & Testing (Tensile, Impact, NDT, Heat Treatment).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support for lab operations.
• Ensure staff and students adhere to safety procedures and wear proper attire.
• Ensure equipment and machines are in working order and safe for operations.
• Plan and order raw materials for Lab/FYP use.
• Liaise with Estates Dept for lab facilities service requests.
• Attend asset management activities including asset write-off and verification, storage.
• Plan maintenance for machines and equipment.
