Job summary

A PostgreSQL/Sybase DBA - L2 is sought for a leading bank in Singapore. This hands-on role covers production database administration, performance tuning, HA/DR, incident management and automation across PostgreSQL/Sybase environments.

You'll join a global team to support Asia and EMEA regions, administer, upgrade and troubleshoot PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE/IQ, handle L2 incidents, and develop automation using Python, T-SQL and Shell scripting to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience administering PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE/IQ in production environments.
• Experience with HA/DR, replication, backups and performance tuning.
• L2 incident handling, escalation, RCA, Change Management.
• Automation experience using Python, T-SQL, or Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade, troubleshoot and optimise PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE/IQ.
• Handle L2 incidents, escalations and RCA in production environments.
• Implement HA/DR, replication, backup/recovery and performance tuning.
• Develop automation using Python, T-SQL and Shell scripting.
• Support database migrations and security exercises.
