Job summary

NTT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an L1 Network Engineer to provide first-level network support and monitoring for Bank’s IT infrastructure at client sites in Singapore.

You will monitor networks, troubleshoot basic connectivity issues, and handle incidents with escalation to appropriate teams. In this role you will work closely with L2/L3 engineers, vendors, and project teams to ensure network devices are configured, installed, tested, and operational.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in network operations or technical support.
• CCNA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level network support and incident handling.
• Monitor network systems and respond to alerts.
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 engineers when needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for device access and troubleshooting.
• Ensure client site infrastructure is configured, installed, and operational.
• Perform routine checks and apply monitoring tools for BAU and projects.
• Collaborate with Implementation Engineering and project teams to meet requirements.
• Support 24/7 rotating shifts including weekends/public holidays if required.

Job Summary

We are looking for an L1 Network Engineer to provide first-level network support and monitoring for Bank’s IT infrastructure. The role involves monitoring network systems, troubleshooting basic connectivity issues, handling incidents and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of the Bank’s network, processes & change windows.
• Provide access to vendors to the network devices.
• Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational
• Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts
• Provide onsite technical support to clients and provide field engineering services to clients
• Perform Network operations for BAU and projects for the Network Infrastructure and Network Equipment at the client premises, including performance and bandwidth monitoring to flag out any irregularities during migration.
• Develops the ability to start 'owning' portions of an installation, break/fix incidents, and problem management.
• Functions jointly with the Implementation Engineering team to meet client requirements.
• Action configurations, installations and break/fix events
• Preferably with hands on experience on below technologies technical skills:
• Cisco Switching and Routing Technologies
• Liaise and work with End users for troubleshooting.
• Liaise and work with L2 and L3 Engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
• Liaise and work with vendors for troubleshooting and RCA
• Liaise and work with the operations team on internal change requests. E.g. review of CR, planning for downtime/activity, configuration changes, etc.
• Liaise and work with Team leads and management on optimizations to current network infra.
• Liaise and work with project managers (internal and external) to ensure smooth deployment.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in network operations or technical support.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
