Job summary

Teamlease Digital Private Limited is seeking an L1 Network Engineer to provide first-level network support for a banking client’s IT infrastructure. You will monitor networks, resolve simple connectivity issues, and escalate complex problems to L2/L3 teams and vendors.

Responsibilities include monitoring alerts, basic troubleshooting of connectivity and performance, Cisco switching and routing support, and coordinating with engineers and project managers for deployments and BAU operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure and respond to alerts and incidents.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of network connectivity and performance issues.
• Support Cisco switching and routing infrastructure.
• Perform network checks, configuration activities, installations, and break/fix activities.
• Support BAU operations and network infrastructure projects.
• Monitor network performance and bandwidth and identify irregularities.
• Coordinate with L2/L3 engineers for advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
• Liaise with vendors for troubleshooting, RCA, and technical support.
• Work with end users to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
• Support internal change requests, including change reviews, downtime planning, and configuration activities.
• Provide access to vendors for network devices as required.
• Coordinate with implementation engineers and project managers for network deployments.
• Provide onsite technical and field engineering support when required.
• Gradually take ownership of assigned network installations, incidents, and problem-management activities.
