Job summary

A leading IT services provider is seeking an L1 Network Engineer in Tampines on a 1-year renewable contract. The role involves ensuring operational infrastructure at client sites, providing onsite technical support, and performing monitoring of the network. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Cisco Switching and Routing Technologies, as well as a basic understanding of bank network processes. This position requires proactive incident management and collaboration with the Implementation Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies is necessary.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure processes is preferred.
• Must be capable of performing necessary checks and responding to alerts.

1 year renewable contract

Location: Tampines

• Have basic understanding of the Banks network,processes & change windows.
• Provide access to vendors to the network devices.
• Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational
• Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts
• Provide onsite technical support to clients and provide field engineering services to clients
• Perform Network operation for the Network Infrastructure and Network Equipment at the client premises, including performance and bandwidth monitoring to flag out any irregularities during migration.
• Develops the ability to start 'owning' portions of an installation, break/fix incidents, and problem management.
• Functions jointly with the Implementation Engineering team to meet client requirements.
• Action less complex configurations and installations
• Attend to less complex break/fix events
