Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team at Somerset. The role involves assisting with daily food preparation, cooking, and maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.

Working days are five per week with rotating shifts and a 9:00 AM–10:00 PM schedule including staff meals. Previous kitchen experience is preferred; Korean cuisine experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
• Experience with Korean cuisine is an advantage but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with daily food preparation and cooking
• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements
• Assist with preparation of vegetables, sauces, noodles, dumplings and other menu items
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Ensure food preparation areas, kitchen equipment and workstations are kept clean and hygienic
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients
• Check food quality and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food wastage
• Perform other kitchen duties as required
