Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment and able to cook and prepare food.
• Understanding of stock management and controlling wastage.
• Compliance with food hygiene policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily food stock and movements to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Analyze departmental costs and their impact on profit and loss.
• Minimise kitchen wastage and ensure FIFO inventory control.
• Learn and record recipes from the team; follow cleaning schedules.
• Accept store deliveries and verify goods for correctness and condition.
• Maintain 'miss en place' in the section and report maintenance issues to Head Chef.
• Follow company policies and statutory regulations related to food safety.'
• Be flexible and assist other departments when required.
