Bites & Brews in Singapore's Joo Chiat area is seeking a motivated Junior/Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist in daily cooking and food preparation, following Western and fusion recipes, and support the Head Chef during service.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of kitchen experience, knowledge of Western cooking techniques, and the ability to work weekends. Singapore Food Safety Level 1 certification is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years kitchen experience in Western restaurants, cafés or bistros.
• Good knowledge of Western cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Able to work independently at assigned kitchen stations.
• Responsible, hardworking and a good team player.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Singapore Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Handle daily mise en place, food preparation and cooking during service.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
• Ensure cleanliness, proper food storage and food safety standards.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with stock management and minimize food wastage.
