Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced analytical instruments across research, manufacturing, and high‑tech sectors in Singapore.

You will perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs at customer sites, diagnose issues, and provide training and support to customers while building strong relationships. Some travel for regional projects will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical) or Instrumentation/Controls.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience for junior level; structured training provided.
• Senior level: 4+ years of hands-on field service experience in scientific/analytical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs for instruments at customer sites.
• Diagnose technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and manage escalations.
• Deliver technical support, user training, and maintain customer relationships.
• Prepare service reports, track spare parts, ensure safety compliance, and identify business opportunities.

Role Overview:

Responsible for providing hands‑on technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for advanced analytical and scientific instruments across research, manufacturing, and high‑tech industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Execution & Maintenance: Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs for instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, Spectroscopy, and ICP spectrometers at customer sites.
• Technical Support & Escalations: Diagnose technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and manage critical escalations. (Senior level will independently manage complex cases and mentor junior engineers).
• Customer Engagement & Training: Deliver technical support, user operational training, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Operations & Revenue Support: Prepare service reports, track spare parts, ensure compliance with safety standards, and identify business opportunities (e.g., service contracts, upgrades, parts).

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical) or Instrumentation/Controls.
• Experience:
• Junior Level: 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates are welcome; structured training provided).
• Senior Level: 4+ years of hands‑on field service experience in scientific/analytical instrumentation.
• Technical Skills: Experience with or strong willingness to learn advanced scientific systems (Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, Spectroscopy, ICP).
• Mobility & Competencies: Strong troubleshooting ability, proactive work ethic, and willingness to travel overseas for regional projects as required.
