Job summary

MALABAR GOLD & DIAMONDS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a sales associate to greet customers, understand requirements, present jewellery options, and facilitate purchases.

You will manage stock, monitor display hygiene, assist with marketing visits and exhibitions, and help maintain store standards while building customer relationships and supporting store targets.

Responsibilities

• Receive the customer and engage to understand the customer’s requirement.
• Introduce product offerings and facilitate the customer’s buying decision.
• Prepare estimates of selected products and complete the sales transaction.
• Achieve category-wise sales targets for the allocated section.
• Count and maintain stock daily, recording opening and closing stock.
• Monitor stock and ensure adequate stock for sales.
• Report sold stock for reordering to the sales manager for replenishment.
• Monitor dead stock and liaise with the store manager to minimize it.
• Ensure proper and attractive display of products at the counter following hygienic standards.
• Safely transfer stock to the locker at close of day and report theft risks.
• Understand customer queries and address with appropriate solutions.
• Provide support to the marketing team for potential customer visits and exhibitions.
• Identify potential customers and refer them to the store.
• Adhere to cost-saving practices in the store.
• Develop and maintain relationships with competitors to improve store processes.

• Prepare the estimate of the products selected and completing the sales transaction.
• Achieve category wise sales target for the allocated section.
• Count and maintain the account of stock daily by managing the record of the opening stock and closing stock in the section allocated.
• Monitor the stock in the section and ensure adequate stock for sales.
• Report the sold sock in the section for reordering to the sales manager for timely stock replenishment.
• Monitor the dead stock and liaison with the store manager to minimise the same.
• Responsible for proper and attractive display of the products at the appropriate counter following hygienic standards.
• Transfer the stock to the locker at the close of the day; maintain safety of jewellery displayed to customers and communicate promptly to the superiors about any potential theft.
• Understand the queries and complaints from the customer and address with right solution.
• Provide support to the marketing team for potential customer visits and exhibitions.
• Identify potential customers and referring them to the store.
• Adhere to cost saving practices undertaken in the store.
• Develop and maintain relationship and network with competitors to leverage leading practices & learning to improve store level processes.
