Job summary

Completion Products Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Junior Quality Engineer to ensure manufacturing and engineering processes use calibrated tools and correct materials. You will support the Quality team, review certificates, and assist in implementing the QMS.

The role involves coordinating with suppliers, performing documentation maintenance, and helping drive improvements and corrective actions. Entry-level candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering required.
• Fluent in English communication (oral and written).
• Entry-level experience in quality/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Manager and engineers with administrative QC tasks.
• Review and sign off material certificates, conformance certificates and testing reports.
• Liaise with suppliers/customers on certificate-related matters.
• Assist in implementing the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Support process studies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Third Party Inspector for inspection needs and plan activities.
• Ensure use of calibrated measuring equipment and maintain related logs.
• Maintain and update QMS documents, customer specs and external standards.
• Maintain and update PP, WI and forms and ensure latest revisions are in shop floor/server.
• Maintain training records and monitor quality documentation retention.
• Support in achieving departmental KPI and compile quality dossiers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Junior Quality Engineer is responsible for making sure that the engineering and manufacturing process are performed correctly using the calibrated and right tools, correct material specs and processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1.Support the Quality Manager and Quality engineer(s) by providing administrative function to the quality department.
• 2.Review and sign-off of the material certificate, certificate of conformance, and testing report
• 3.Liaise with supplier/customer on material certificate-related matters.
• 4.Assist Quality Manager/Superior in implementing the Quality Management System.
• 5.Work with Quality Supervisor/Lead & Quality Manager to monitor process study for improvement in efficiency, manpower saving, and optimal method.
• 6.Assists Quality Engineer in customer complaint and internal quality issues investigation and in driving corrective and preventive actions to prevent a recurrence.
• 7.Liaise and Coordinates with TPI (Third Party Inspector) for the job requirement that needs inspection and arranges TPI activities as per Plan schedule.
• 8.Assist in ensuring the use of calibrated measuring equipment is practiced for both production (product-related) and quality departments and the Calibrated Measuring Equipment log is maintained.
• 8.1Maintenance and updating of QMS documents.
• 8.2Maintain & update customer spec, international standard spec (external document folder).
• 8.3Check with EM on any latest revision of the customer’s spec.
• 8.4Source & purchase the latest revision of the standard specification.
• 8.5Maintain and update PP, WI & Forms, ensure latest revision is in shop floor and update doc. in server.
• 8.6Maintain internal materials & product specification (update the buyer/purchaser/suppliers on any up version of the spec).
• 8.7Maintain Training Records (S 1-026F) for all employees.
• 8.8Monitor and dispose of quality document (excluded dossier) according to stated retention period and ensure proper quality documentation and compilation is in place.
• 8.9Support in achieving the departmental Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
• 9. Compiles quality documentation package (dossier) and ensures correctness and completeness prior sending to customer.
• 10. Employee will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from his/her manager to undertake work that is not specified in this job description.
• 11. Ensures 5S is implemented in the work area.
• 12. Adheres company’s guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.
• 13. Complies to Company Code of Business Conduct.
